Jasper W Petrillo Jr

August 18, 1953 — May 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jasper William Petrillo Jr., affectionately known as Jay, on May 28, 2026. Born on August 18, 1953, in Washington, DC, Jay was a passionate and dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He resided in Huntingtown, MD, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Jay is survived by his wife, Laura Petrillo (Lolli), and his three sons: Christopher J. Petrillo (Chris), Jason M. Petrillo, Sr., and Vincent J. Petrillo (Vinny). He took great pride in being a grandfather to six grandsons: Jason M. Petrillo, Jr., Martin A. Petrillo (Marty), Alexander V. Petrillo (Xander), Dominic A. Petrillo, Bryce A. Petrillo, and Orion G. Petrillo. Kynslee Lynn is his first and only great granddaughter. Jay's legacy continues through his children and grandchildren and the bonds he fostered with other family members, including his brother James A. Petrillo (Jim). Jay was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Florence M. Esposito, and father, Jasper W. Petrillo, Sr., along with his cherished sister, Deborah S. Petrillo (Debbie).

Jay's life was a tapestry woven with the warmth of family ties and the lively camaraderie of friends. He cherished connections with extended family and special friends, including Denise Leonard, Amanda Owens, Erin Petrillo, Kalyn Petrillo, James Petrillo, Jr., Bonnie Gibbs and family, Dottie and Richard Lawrence, and many others who were fortunate to have known him.

Jay instilled the values of family and hard work in all those around him. He was known not only for his professional dedication but also as a forward thinker, a leader and mentor, a man of deep conviction and integrity, and generous with his time and knowledge.

A lifelong learner, Jay’s interests and talents were many — investing and money management, an enthusiasm for firearms, and cooking, especially seafood. He loved the ocean and spending time outside.

A man of Italian heritage, Jay took immense pride in his roots. His happiest memories are of the family gathered, making homemade Italian donuts with a pot of sauce cooking on the stove.

Jay leaves behind not only a legacy of love but also countless treasured memories. He cherished each moment spent with family, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
