OBITUARY

Face to Face I shall Behold Him, I shall Behold Him

I shall See Him Face to Face

Pastor John Boone answered the call to glory early Monday morning, obeyed the
beckoning voice of Him who has all power in His hands and stepped on board “The Old
Ship of Zion,” on April 15, 2024 at his residence. John Jasper Boone, Jr., was born June
21, 1953, to the late John Jasper Boone, Sr., and Cora Stone Boone.

He was educated in Pittsylvania County Public schools. After graduating high school, he
joined and served in the United State Air Force. After his tenure in the in the Air Force
he relocated to Alexandria, VA where he met and married the love of his life, Sarah
Smith. From this union three children were born, John Jasper, III, James Evertt and
Delila Boone.

John worked for the city of Alexandria, VA and retired after 30 plus years. John also
was an entrepreneur of Perfect Care Lawn and Landscaping Services.
John was a kind and loving person. He loved to help and served others until the end.
He loved people and people loved him. He was also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, but
most of all, he loved the Lord. He loved preaching, singing, and fellowshipping with his
brothers and sisters in Christ.

John Boone accepted Christ under the Pastorship of the Late Bishop Carver E.
Pondexter, Love of Christ Church. He was ordained Elder in the Bible Way Worldwide
Organization. He worked in many capacities of the church, Sunday School Teacher,
Superintendent; Treasurer, Gospel, and Men’s Choir, etc. Elder Boone answered a
higher calling to Christ and became the Founder and Pastor of the Love Faith Ministry of
Alexandria, VA.

Elder Boone was proceeded in death by his father, John Jasper Sr., his mother Cora
Stone Boone, 6 siblings; Juanita Gilbert, Russell Stone, Charles Boone, Lorenza Boone,
Birdie Boone, and Sylvester Boone.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Sarah Boone of the residence, two sons,
John Jasper and James Everett of the residence and one daughter, Delila Boone of
Richmond, VA. One brother, Billy Ray of Accokeek, Maryland; two sisters, Arlene Pannell
of Hurt, VA, Mary Berger of Long Island, VA; four sisters in-laws; Julia Stone of Hurt,
VA, Patricia Boone of Newark, NJ; Maggie Boone of Long Island, VA, Cloria Boone of
Accokeek, MD; one brother in-law; Haywood Pannell and a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives, and friends
