John Neile Harrison, known lovingly to those closest to him as Johnny, passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on July 30, 1964, in Washington, D.C., John spent his final years in Prince Frederick, Maryland, surrounded by the people and places he cherished most.
John was the kind of man who made everyone feel welcome, showing his love through the food he cooked and the jokes he told that would have the whole room laughing. He was a skilled handyman who could fix just about anything, and he never hesitated to lend a hand. John had a gambler's spirit, always willing to take a chance and see where life would lead him. He was kind, loving, and genuinely funny-the type of person who lit up a room without even trying. Above all else, though, family was everything to him; his family was his greatest passion and his proudest accomplishment.
John is survived by his five children: his sons John Harrison, Trent Harrison, Trevor Harrison, and Tristian Harrison, and his daughter Trinity Harrison. Each of them carries a piece of his warmth, his humor, and his generous heart.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Lee Funeral Home, located at 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on April 17, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In closing, John lived by a prayer that speaks to the faith he carried quietly and steadily throughout his life:
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time. Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace. Taking, as he did, the sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to His will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever."
Rest easy, Johnny. You are loved beyond measure.
