Julia Ann Doss

Julia Ann Doss, 90, of Dunkirk, MD passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2024.  She was born February 13th, 1934, in Ridgeway, PA to James and Sophie Tile.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, William “Bill” E. Doss, Jr., as well as her son Kevin Work (Jeanne), daughter Karen Fowler, stepson Ron Doss (Patti), and stepdaughter Katie Ussery (Gary).  She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, a sister, and her son Keith Work.

A loving grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 6, and a wonderful friend to many.  She was known as Julie by her family and friends and GaGa or MomMom to the grand and great grand children.

She retired in 1995 from Prince George’s County Public School System as a Food Service Assistant after 21 years of service.  She loved thrift store shopping.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach, MD.  Her husband Bill attends Dunkirk Baptist Church where she was very active volunteering for numerous events.  She developed many lasting friendships from the church events.  She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers.
