In Loving Memory of June Eleanor Dove

June Eleanor Dove, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on December 30, 1935, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Dixon Dove Sr. and Eva Dove, June graduated from I.C. Norcom High School, earned an associate degree from the University of Southern California, and proudly served four years in the Women's Army Corps. She later dedicated her career to public service with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Pentagon Federal Credit Union.

A faithful member of Epiphany Episcopal Church, June generously served her community through volunteer work with the Prince George's County Public Schools, adult literacy programs, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Women of Epiphany.

June was known for her kindness, unwavering faith, love of reading, talent for baking, and her cherished role as the family's "Scrabble Queen." She found joy in creating prayer beads for her ministry and sharing homemade treats with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan E. Dove; her sister, Gloria Webb; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, Maryland, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment with military honors will take place at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

June's legacy of faith, service, generosity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
