Kathrine Ann Haney

d. Aug 27, 2026

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Kathrine Ann Haney (Miles), age 70, who passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 27, 2026, in Clinton, Maryland.

Born in Washington, D.C., Kathrine lived a life filled with vibrant energy, compassion, and love. She was a proud graduate of Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, Maryland, Class of 1974, where she shone brightly as an accomplished and award-winning majorette. Her talent, grace, and showmanship earned her numerous trophies and created cherished memories that remained special throughout her life.

Later in life, Kathrine’s caring and nurturing spirit led her to work as a CNA at Southern Maryland Hospital Nursery, where she lovingly cared for countless newborns.

Kathrine is survived by her beloved spouse, Winifred Curtis Haney; her children, Shirl (Anthony), Sarah (Scott), Samantha Gayle, and David (Samantha); her 15 cherished grandchildren; her nephews and nieces; and her siblings, Diane, Sheila, and David Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” Jr. and Ruth; her sister, Mary Frances; her brother, William III; and two precious grandbabies.

While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in Jehovah God’s promise of the resurrection. Until that time, Kathrine rests peacefully in His memory. John 5:28, 29 💜

There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of Kathrine’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.

Our family deeply appreciates all the love, prayers, kind words, and support we have received during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Mom. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed. Until we meet again. 🕊️❤️
