Mrs. Hayes was born February 20, 1934 in Bluefield,WVA, a daughter of the late William C. and Margaret Martin Burton, and moved to Boiling Spring Lake, N.C. from Charlotte, N.C. in 1993. She lived in Fort Washington, MD from 1960 to 1983 and was a member of Church of the Holy Communion in Washington, DCShe is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald H. Hayes of the home; a son, Donald B.
