Kelly Marie McCarley, 63 of Owings, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.
Born on May 8, 1963, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. Kelly was wife of her beloved Husband William Scott McCarley and the beloved daughter of Florence Linda Lynch and Joseph Edward Lynch Jr. Throughout their life, Kelly was known for the love she had for family, her strength, and made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kelly graduated from Duvall High School and went on to Southern Seminary College in Buena Vista, VA. Her career began training horses at Showday Farm in Culpepper, Virginia. She dedicated 20 years to teaching young riders as the equestrian director at Camp Letts where she was respected and admired. Later, she retired from farm life and worked at the Annapolis Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center for 5 years where she built more friendships. Kelly’s priority was family, so her job always had to allow her children and her family to come first. She was not shy to work hard to make her family’s’ life enjoyable.
Kelly’s enjoyed the beach, long walks on the boardwalk with her dog “Finn”, volunteering for the Abdominal Cancer Alliance Group, traveling to North and South Carolina, trips to the winery, and most of all being with her family Above all, she treasured time spent with family and friends.
Kelly Marie McCarley is survived by William Scott McCarley, Kylie Linda Carneal (George) and Cody Joseph McCarley, and her dog Finn McCarley; her sisters, Tina Marie Lynch (Safreed) and Kathleen Marie Mann (Mark); her nephews Garrett Kelly Safreed and Logan Cole Safreed; her niece Holly Kathleen Mann; extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Florence Linda Lynch and Joseph Edward Lynch Jr.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5pm-8pm at Lee Funeral Home in Owings, Maryland. A funeral service celebrating Kelly's life will take place on Saturday August 8, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park, Maryland at 2pm.

Though deeply missed, Kelly's love, strength, and legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
