Kevin Patrick Knott

Kevin Patrick Knott, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024 at the age of 48, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1975 in Washington, D.C. to Raymond Edward Knott and Deborah Maloney Knott and was raised in Bowie, MD where the Knott family resided for over 35 years.

Kevin is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 22 years, Melissa H. Knott (Hoff) and their children Evan M. Knott and Riley E. Knott (Owings, MD). He is also survived by his mother, Deborah M. Knott (Solomons, MD) brother Brian M. Knott (Charlotte, NC) brother Shawn R. Knott (Austin, TX), as well as 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and 5 godchildren.

He is predeceased by his father, Raymond, maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as countless relatives and friends.

Kevin met his beautiful wife Melissa at the University of Maryland in 1997 where they shared their love for the Terrapins, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Capitals, as well as local music. They were married on May 18, 2002. Shortly after, Evan was born on August 19, 2004 and later Riley on November 12, 2007.

Kevin loved watching his children play sports, and regularly beating his friends on the golf course.

He earned a Bachelor’s and Masters degree from the University of Maryland and is a proud 1993 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School.

Kevin proudly worked for Bell Atlantic/Verizon for over 24 years in a variety of leadership roles.

Kevin truly loved spending time with his family and friends, attending sporting events, concerts and frequenting local breweries. He will be remembered as a caring, and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend who always put God and family first and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
