Leona May Osborn

August 16, 1944 — May 2, 2022

Leona May Osborn, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully with her children by her side on May 2, 2022, at the age of 77.

She was born in Millinocket ME, the 7th child of Joyime and Mattie Blanchette in August of 1944. She is proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth Osborn, 3 sisters (Mary Guimond, Rita Mattall and Pat Quackenbush) and 4 brothers (Camille, Joseph “Wilfred”, Leo and Paul Blanchette). She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Osborn, her son Richard (Jessica) Osborn, 4 grandchildren (Parker, McKenzie, Paige and Connor) and several nieces and nephews.

She was a devout Catholic that freely gave her time and skill of accounting to the church. She loved knitting, crocheting, word searches and watching old 80’s mystery/crime and gameshows in her free time. She regularly made blankets that she filled with love for each of her grandchildren and many people she cared about.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736 on Friday May 20, 2022 from 6:00 pm –8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Jesus the Devine Word Church 885 Cox Road Huntingtown, MD 20639 on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 11 am.
