In Loving Memory of Lewis Henry Sorrell April 19, 2025

 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Lewis Sorrell on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at his home. He was the devoted husband of Naomi Sorrell for over half a century, a treasured father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, and cherished member of his family and community.

Affectionately known as Lou, Mr. Lou, Pop, and Granddad, Lewis was the heart and soul of the family—a man of quiet strength, deep wisdom, and boundless love. Lewis “worked hard and played hard”. In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and a valued DC Government employee, he was an accomplished saxophonist, a highly skilled fisherman and boatsman, an avid traveler, and a devoted football fan. 

Lewis is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered. His warmth, quick-witted sense of humor, and calm presence touched all who knew him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure. 

Honoring of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Calvert Grace Community Church, 9870 Old Solomons Island Rd, Owings, MD 20736. 

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM         Funeral: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
