Linda Ann DeLong

Linda Ann DeLong, 75, of Owings, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord, on May 11, 2023.  Linda passed away peacefully in her home, in Owings, Maryland.

Linda worked for the federal government, Department of Energy for over 40 years. Linda obtained a master’s degree from Maryland University in pastoral counseling. She was also a very dedicated collector of the Byers choice carolers.   The most important part of Linda DeLong’s life was her love for Christ and family. She attended Chesapeake Church where she was a member, for over 30 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Hamilton, and Melanie Knotts. Linda is also survived by her brother, Ken Smith and spouse Lynn Smith, grandchildren: John B. Hamilton, Ariel K. Jewell, Alexander M. Hamilton, Zachary R. Hamilton, and Jacob Knotts. Linda’s extended family consists of three stepsons and five step grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Chesapeake Church, 6201 Solomons Island Road Huntingtown, MD 20639 on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens Cemetery 3270 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD 20676.
