It is with deep love and gentle sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, Madelyn Ruth Macsisak, of Waldorf, Maryland who left this world peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the remarkable age of 95.
Born on July 20, 1930, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to the late Harry and Mildred Bowman, and raised by her grandparents, Edwin and Susie Bowman in Annville, Pennsylvania. She lived a wonderful life, as a wife and mother of four. Across her 95 years, she witnessed a changing world and greeted each new chapter with grace and dignity. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, April throughout the years, especially to Hawaii which was an annual vacation for 25 years, as well as working at Macy’s as a Furniture Sales Associate. She was a truly a dedicated employee who retired in October 2024 after 30 years.
She is survived by her children, April Y. Moore and Stephen A. Macsisak III (Lynda), two granddaughters, Jennifer Capozzella(Tommy) and Heather Ainsley (Randy), three great-grandchildren Joseph Capozzella (Danielle), Brianna Newman, Leeann Alexander (Tyler) and one great great -granddaughter Savannah Capozzella. She now joins in rest with those who went before her, including her husband Stephen A. Macsisak II and her children –Sheila A. Jobe and Michael A. Macsisak, whose memories she carried lovingly thru out her life.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland at 11:00 am, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life beautifully lived, with Funeral services beginning at 12pm. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Maryland.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she loved.
