She passed away January 26, 2026 in Upper Marlboro, MD.
“Peggy”, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked to travel and was blessed to see much of the world including her beloved Ireland. She loved camping and a good adventure whether it was a hiking or roller skating with her campfire troop, swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving on family vacations, reading a good mystery, or coffee and conversation with friends and neighbors. She was an artist and found joy in nature in flowers, birds, and squirrels in her yard. She loved the bright yellow dandelions of summer, beautiful art, and creating stained glass.
She is mourned and missed by her husband, Bernard Shields Bailor and her children, Thomas (Elizabeth), Theresa (late husband Ron) Aboussie, Kathleen Sidwell (Clint), and Mary Ellen (Steve) Attix, as well as her grandchildren Clare Bailor, Lilly Aboussie, and Connor, Aidan, Shannon and Andrew Sidwell. She is also mourned by her sister Barbara Seymour and brother Timothy Baker and countless nieces and nephews and their children. She was proceeded by her parents and older siblings Robert Baker, Mary Ellen Healy, Patrick Baker, and Joanne Bergstrom of Hollidaysburg, PA.
