Mario Fresco

Mario Fresco, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, in Landover, Maryland, at the age of 79.

Born on april 24, 1946, in Lanciano, Italy, Mario was the cherished son of the late Angelo Fresco and Rosaria Fresco (D'Onofrio). In 1965, he began working as a mail carrier for the The Washington Post, a role he took great pride in until his retirement in 1973. 

Mario had a lifelong passion for working on cars and found joy in music, especially while playing the accordion-a talent he often shared with those he loved. His warm heart, sense of humor and dedication to his family will be remembered always. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Jean Fresco; loving daughters, Maria Fresco and Sabrina Fresco; and dear siblings, Nicola Fresco, Gino Fresco, Frank Fresco and Teresa Carromba (Fresco).

Mario's life was a testament to hard work, love for family, and the joy found in simple pleasures. He be deeply missed lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
