Mary “Regina” Coakley, resident of Annapolis (formally of Upper Marlboro, MD) passed away on January 21, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Born in Washington, DC, daughter of Cora A. and Philip L. Roache. Regina attended and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in DC. She met and married Chester Coakley and raised their 5 children in Upper Marlboro. She worked and retired from Bell Atlantic. Regina loved to be where others gathered. She was involved in various organizations, including the Gonzaga ‘44 Club and the Heritage Harbor Dining Club. Regina had a jovial spirit, loved to laugh and joke. She also enjoyed dancing, singing, BINGO, family gatherings and ice cream. She was an avid fan of the Washington Football Team, Nationals and Maryland Terps. Beloved Wife of the late John “Chester” Coakley; Devoted Mother of Karen (Steve) Mondorff of Sunderland, MD, Mary Anne (Robert) Thompson of Deale, MD, Joyce (Terry, deceased) Kosmicki of Hyattsville, MD, Timothy (Marianna) Coakley of Alexandria, VA and the late John Chester Coakley, Jr; dearest Grammie of Stephanie (Jeff) Lloyd, Kelly (Frank) Winston, Michael (Catalina) Thompson, Sarah (Vince) Iriarte, Regina (Phil) Koshute and Michael (Jennah) Kosmicki. Also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren.
