Miss Mary Margaret Margie White (née Washington), age 77, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, in Clinton, Maryland. Born on June 19,1948, in Troy, Alabama, Mary lived a life marked by dedication to her family, community, and career. Mary married Steve White and they shared almost 50 years of blissful marriage.
Mary grew up in Buffalo, New York, where she graduated high school in 1966. She continued her education at Bryant & Stratton University, pursuing a business degree that would later support her professional endeavors. Mary built a successful career working at Andrew's Air Force Base in Camp Springs, MD, where she served for many years before retiring.
Known affectionately as Margie by those close to her, Mary was a woman of boundless generosity and compassion. She was deeply committed to helping others and was always ready to volunteer whenever someone needed assistance. Her selflessness extended beyond her immediate circle and left an indelible mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Mary found joy in traveling with her lamily and cherished the memories they created together. She also loved playing bingo and bowling activities that brought laughter and joy into her life. Above all else, Mary treasured her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did.
She is survived by her daughter Roslyn Truman MeMillan (Joseph), daughter Cheryl Loux (Edward), son Gregory Truman (Danielle Williams), Grandchildren, Deonte Smith, Anthony Whitaker, Serenity Pannone. Jevahni Truman, Kevin Johnson, Darren Johnson, Reuben Johnson, Jaylen Fenwick, and Granddaughter Goddess McMillan. Great Grandehildren, Cameron Whitaker, Kyair Whitaker, Harlow Smith and Valentina Cordero, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Mary is also survived by her siblings: sister Gwendolyn MeCollum (née Washington), sister Darlene Glenn, brother Chris Aldridge (Carol), brother Norzell Aldridge (Belinda), brother Larry Washington (Dannette), brother Jerry Washington (Jeanette), sister Annie Brown, sister Tina Washington (Allen). and sister Vera Crayton (Freddie along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her family will forever remember her as a pillar of strength and warmth.
Mary's memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering support. May those who knew her find comfort in the legacy of love she leaves behind. Mary is preceded in death by her late husband Steve White, and three brothers, Craig and Derrick Aldridge along with Booker T. Washington, Jr.
