Michael Joseph Clare

Michael Joseph Clare, 66 passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at his home in Dunkirk, MD. He was born on June 9, 1957, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to Charles Edward and Mary Josephine Clare. He was the third of seven children. Michael was survived by partner Gail O´Donovan, his children, Tara Moretz, Brian Clare (Nikki), and Jesse Clare, his grandchildren Alexandria Clare and Braden Samples, brothers Stephen Clare (Shelby) and Joseph Clare (Wendy) and sisters, Kathleen Clare and Laura Wermann (Ed). He was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased in death by both parents, his brothers Chuck Clare and Thomas Clare. Michael worked as a locksmith for Fairfax County. Michael had a playful sense of humor who loved spending time with his family. He was an avid and master woodworker who enjoyed traveling, dancing and the outdoors. Michael was also a huge Washington Nationals fan and fond of watching Sci-Fi shows.

The family will be having a private ceremony on Saturday, March 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. https://www.lung.org/get-involved
