Nancy Lou Moore, 81, of Brandywine, MD passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at her home with her loving husband Roger by her side. She was born May 26, 1941 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania to Kenneth Runkle and Ann Snavely.
Nancy married the love of her life Roger Moore on June 27, 1986. They recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary together. Their love for each other was an inspiration to their family.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Roger, her son Michael (Lisa), grandchildren George IV(Nicole), Megan (John Thomas), Brady (Jacqueline), Nicholas, and great grandchildren Sophia and Avery to be born in February. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Ann and Peggy and her brothers John and Eddie. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Runkle, step father Jack and Ann Snavely, and her oldest son George III.
Nancy worked as a secretary for the Allbritton Communications, Channel 7 until 2006 when she retired. She loved to go to the beach with her family, listening to country music, cooking, and watching her soap shows. She really enjoyed watching the Redskins and the Nationals while on the phone with her sister Mary Ann.
Her love for her grandchildren was inspirational. She loved them more than anything on this earth and loved watching every minute of them growing up. She never skipped a beat. She went to every game, every huge milestone no matter what the circumstances were.
Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, treasured sister and beloved aunt, and friend. Nancy has left many loving memories for those who loved her to cherish.
The family invites friends and family to celebrate Nancy’s life, Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Lee’s Funeral Home in Clinton, Maryland. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am at the chapel at Lee’s Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at St. Barnabas Church Cemetery, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
