Patricia "Tricia" Lynn Poore Carl

October 15, 1977 — June 25, 2024

Patricia “Tricia” Lynn (Poore) Carl of Huntingtown, Maryland peacefully passed away on June 25th, 2024, after battling Ovarian Cancer for over a year. Tricia was the best mother, daughter and friend anyone could have. Many knew her as Ms. Tricia because of the successful business that she built otherwise known as Younger Years Early Learning Center. She often expressed that the center was not a daycare or babysitting place as she took great pride in teaching her kids the curriculum necessary for young development. Her center was a preschool for some, a safe place for others, and most importantly her passion.

Tricia had many hobbies which included interior decorating, making charcuterie boards, and doing whatever she could to help others. To her, putting others before herself was her favorite thing to do. Landon, Tricia’s son inherited the keen eye that she had for walking in a room and knowing exactly how to make it shine. People would constantly walk in her house and ask who her decorator was, and she would just smile proudly.

Ethan, Landon, and Macy are Tricia’s kids who she loved more than anything in the world. The thing she took pride in the most was being a mother and she was a great one. Tricia regularly attended anything and everything that her kids were involved in offering the upmost support. She constantly told them that she would always be their biggest fan. She will continue to be there for every step of their lives.

In the early stages of her illness, she loved going on dates with her husband, David. They would go on car rides, coffee dates, and he would do anything possible to keep her spirits high. David was remarkable at giving Tricia all the love and care that she needed through the good and the bad. No matter the situation, his love was always present.

In her last few months as times got tougher, she was fondly taken care of by her family members, her husband, and especially her Aunt Kathy. The hospice nurses Jennifer Rachic and Jen Crupi were exceptional in aiding Tricia by displaying their expertise, professionalism, and genuine care.

Tricia leaves behind her husband, David Carl; her four stepchildren in New Jersey; her children, Ethan, Landon, and Macy; her parents, Mike and Barbara Scott; her brother, Chris Scott; aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Her closest friends, Melanie, Shannon, Kevin, and Lindsey visited her practically every day bringing her gifts and their upmost support in any situation.

She touched each and every one of us with her kindness, and quirky ways. Oh, how we will deeply miss her as she remains in our hearts forever and will watch over us always.
