Richard Neiser

July 19, 1940 — May 17, 2025

Richard C. (Dick) Neiser of Brandywine, MD died peacefully at home on May 17, 2025 after a battle with Alzheimer's. He was 85 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eleanor (Carhart), his sister, Marjory Moody, and his son, Steven. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda, his son, Brian (Lisa), four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren and his brother Paul.

He was born in Fountain Hill, PA on July 19th, 1940, graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA and served in the US Army. He was a member of the Brandywine Bible Church.

Dick never knew a stranger and was always ready with a smile, a firm handshake, and a hello without exception. He was always willing and able to lend a helping hand.

He came to Washington to work in sales. During his time in sales, he worked at Kinney shoes, Levitz Furniture, Mattress Country, and a few others until his retirement in 2007. Then, he began his volunteer "career" working with senior citizens, Community Services Systems (CSS), and Mission Nutrition for the next 15 years. Dick was an ally for anyone who needed support.

Dick loved following the kids' soccer, softball, and football games and was always the voice cheering everyone on. He also enjoyed taking the little kids Christmas shopping at the dollar store, golfing trips, the Myrtle Beach Thanksgivings, and following the band, "Horizon."

Please join us in celebrating the memory of someone special who made the world a better and brighter place. He is greatly missed. There will be no service but anyone who wishes to honor him, please contribute to your favorite charity or to the Brandywine Bible Church.
