Robert Underwood, Sr.

Robert Mason Underwood, Sr., of Clinton, Maryland, passed peacefully Friday, May 22, 2026, at Med Star Southern Maryland Hospital with his family by his side.

Robert was born December 24, 1946, in Washington D.C. to the late George Albert Underwood, Sr., and Katherine Means Underwood.

Robert and his wife Deborah were happily married for 51 years and together shared three children; Bobbie Jean Farrell (Patrick), the late Robert Mason underwood Jr. (Robbie), and Matthew Underwood (Catherine). Robert and Deborah owned and operated B.Underwood’s Used Auto Parts. In their spare time they loved to bowl and were dedicated to their leagues. They were both fans of gambling, and Robert had a love of fishing and crabbing on his boats.

Robert is predeceased by his wife, his son Robbie, and his parents. Robert is survived by his children Bobbie Jean Farrell (Patrick), Matthew Underwood (Catherine), Christina Underwood, Robert Mason Underwood Jr (Robert), Lisa Underwood, and Robert Mason Underwood Jr (Bobby), and grandchildren Brianna, Mikayla, Mason, Robert and Mark Elsy, Brittany, and Amy.

Family and friends are welcome to gather Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Lee Funeral Home, Inc., 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton Maryland, 20735, from 5pm with memorial services beginning at 7pm.
