With heavy hearts and deep love and devotion we announce the passing of our mother Rose Marie Jenary, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 100. Rose was born on January 27, 1925 in Washington, D.C. where she met our father, William, while working at the VA. They married, and soon after he went off to fight in World War 2. Our father passed when he was 52, she never remarried. She was the beloved daughter and only child of Michael and Josephine Pedulla.
She was very compassionate and loved everyone she met, and everyone who met her loved her as well. She greatly enjoyed getting dressed up to go out, well-coiffed of course. Visiting friends, spending time with family, and cooking endless Italian meals she hosted for all at her home. She was a wonderful cook and generous hostess. She would be the last to sit to eat and the first to get up from the table, always making sure everyone would eat – "mangia mangia" – and drink wine and sambuca. If you were cold, she would give you her sweater. If you were hungry or thirsty she'd give you her food and drink. She cared for and worried about everyone before herself, she truly had the biggest, most generous heart ever. She worried endlessly about those she loved!
She was a devout Catholic and received the sacrament of Holy Communion at home when she could no longer make it to church regularly. Priests conveyed Anointing of the Sick and the Last Rites before her passing.
She is survived by her daughters Toni Stoddard and Donna Kinports and their spouses David Stoddard and Richard Kinports. She was preceded in death by her grandson Bobby, Donna and Dick’s son. Her 100th birthday was celebrated with a wine toast with our family, Delaware friends and Father Joseph from St. Johns in Milford, DE.
I know she is celebrating with all our family and friends who have gone before us who were waiting for her in heaven. May you sit at the hand of God and rest in eternal peace. Mom – We’re forever grateful God gave us you as our Mother, earthly separation does not bind us, we love you into eternity.
Visitation will be Monday January 5th at 11:00 AM followed by mass at 12:00 at St. Phillip the Apostle Church in Camp Springs, MD. Burial services will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD. Pallbearers are David Stoddard, son-in-law, and Raymond Swann, Godson.
