It is with a heavy heart we announce that Sharon Ann Black, affectionately known as “Sherry” to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 72.

Sherry was born in Washington, DC on August 25, 1953, to loving parents, Finley and Catherine Goodin. Sherry spent the vast majority of her life as a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and most recently great grandmother. Sherry was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 31 years, Robert Black Sr.

Sherry is survived by her three children and their spouses, Robert Black Jr. (April Black), Mary Black, and Lisa Crocker (David Crocker II). Her four adored grandchildren, David Crocker III, Megan Crocker, Andrew Black, and William Crocker. Along with the two newest additions to her loving family, her great grandchildren Kenorreus Martin Jr. and Ke’ona Martin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road Clinton, MD 20735, with a funeral service immediately following.

Internment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road Clinton, MD 20735, following the service.
