Sharon Theresa Savoy "Little Sharon"

Our mother, Sharon Theresa Savoy, was called home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2021. Sharon was born on May 26, 1958 to the late Joseph Preston Harley and Mary Helen Harley (Proctor). Sharon was educated in the Prince George’s County schools and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1976. In 1977, Sharon began working for the Prince George’s County Courthouse and transferred to Charles County until her retirement in 2007. During Sharon’s retirement she enjoyed shopping with her daughter and daughter-in-law at Roses and Ashley Stewart. She liked to go out and have a good time, especially with her cousins Wanda, Sheila and Brenda, and if there was a party or cookout, you knew Sharon was coming. There was not a day that you didn’t catch her with a cup of soda and a candy bar in her hand and she always played her lottery numbers every day. But the one thing Sharon loved to do most was spoil her grandkids. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Preston Harley and Mary Helen Harley; her grandparents, Robert and Rose Harley; her grandmother, Sara Jane Proctor; her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Thompson; her nephew, Dwayne Dockett and her Godmother Mary Edna Proctor. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel Corey Savoy (Starlet) and Danielle Ashley Savoy; her grandchildren, Jaiden, Jordan, Alana, Xavier, Daniel Jr., Layla and Gabriella; her brother, Joseph Conrad Harley and sister Gloria Ann Dockett (John) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her special friend, Helen Edwards.
