Teri Eugene

Ms. Teri Lynell Eugene, daughter of the late David Wesley Eugene and Marian Ruth (Pollard) McPherson was born June 8, 1955 in Washington D.C. She departed this life peacefully at the age of 70 in her home in Brandywine, MD on October 12, 2025.

Growing up, Teri attended D.C. Public Schools and ultimately graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1973. In 1975, she married Raymond A. Smith Jr. with whom she had a daughter, Rasheedah Smith. She then worked many years in the healthcare industry in areas of nursing, first-responder paramedics, and most recently for the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a Phlebotomist.

Teri really enjoyed spending her retirement years reading, studying, knitting, and shopping. She always maintained a remarkably calm spirit and devout sense of patience.

Teri leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Toni Y. Brooks; daughter, Rasheedah J. Graham (Karl); two grandchildren, Jaliya L. Smith and Donovan R. Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Cairo R. Daniels and Camari R. Daniels; two nephews, Tyrone A. Eugene (Angela) and Leonard M. Davis (Tonia); a great-niece, Jasmin Eugene; a great-nephew, Nijel Eugene, and a host of other close family and friends.
