Thelma B. Frank Loving wife, Mother to Many and Faithful Woman of GOD Sunrise February 1, 1933 – Sunset December 6, 2021 Thelma B. Frank was born in Edenton, NC to parents John Mack and Ella (Newby) Bowens. She was the eldest of three sisters and educated in the Chowan County Public School Systems of North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, English from St. Augustine University, Raleigh, NC 1956. Thelma moved to Washington, DC in the early 60s and became a faithful member of Campbell AME Church, 2568 Martin Luther King Ave, SE. She was an exemplary employee of Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia where she worked alongside the love of her life, Willie Frank Jr. She was loved by staff and patrons alike. The officers and their spouses often showered her with tips and gifts for her maître (concierge) services. Thelma especially enjoyed being a longtime member of the Campbell Usher Board. One of her favorite things was strutting her stuff during processionals. Thelma was a devout Christian and loved the Lord.
