Vera V. Lewis

Vera V. Lewis , 97 , of Auburndale , Florida passed away November 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 1, 1919 in Washington D.C. to Edward G. and Margaret M.Thomas . Mrs. Lewis had lived in the Polk County area for the past 5 years moving from Washington D. C.. She retired as a U. S. Senate Administrative Staff Member. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Winter Haven and the Order of the Eastern Star in Maryland. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Lewis and is survived by 2 sons, Thomas W. Lewis of Auburndale and William E. Lewis of Lakeland, her daughter, Margaret Benton of St. Petersburg, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
