Rusty passed away after having a spinal cord injury in April. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Pennoyer: His brother Craig Pennoyer and grandson Adam N. Pennoyer Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of 34 years. His Children Emily Lee (David), Adam Pennoyer (Shena), Sister Patricia Gibbs. Grandchildren Rebecca Lee, Taylor Lee, Aidan Pennoyer.
Rusty loved the outdoors. Whether it was camping, hunting in western Maryland with his father, nephew and close friends, Szalonna over the open fire with friends and family (those CRISPIES!), taking walks in the woods or lawn seats at a Jimmy Buffett concert (even during a hurricane!). He was also very talented both at work and with his hands. At work, he was a programmer, an analyst and an auditor. As for hobbies? Working with his father, he learned and loved to build things and enjoyed working with stained glass! What a talent, Absolutely beautiful!
Life threw its share of challenges his way, but he always faced each one with humor and grace. Even during his final days, he kept his sense of humor, his witty observations and playful banter.
Rusty's legacy is how he taught us all to approach life- with open arms, a sense of humor, a curious spirit, an unwavering belief in the goodness of people, a devoted love for God, family and friends, and of course there was always time to share one more drink with those he loves! -- Cheers Rusty!
He will be missed by the so many lives he touched!
