William "Billy" Edward Eisler

William (Billy) Edward Eisler, age 59 of Owings, Maryland passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, in Largo, Maryland due to complications from diabetes. He was born in Washington D.C. on February 12, 1966

The family moved to Owings, Maryland where Billy attended Beach Elementary School. He played Little League Baseball, crabbed and fished off the jetties and would sneak off to play pool.

The family moved to Owings, Maryland where he played football for the Northern High School Patriots as a defensive lineman and was given the nickname “Iceman”. He was also involved with Track and Field as a Shot Putter. Billy loved to play sports, and he watched football and basketball games on TV giving his own analysis.

After graduating from Northern High School in 1984, he attended Prince George’s Community College. After college, Billy worked for the postal service as a carrier, Colortone Press as a printer, then for Walmart in Customer Service. The last few years Billy was unable to work a full-time job due to complications with his health from diabetes.

Billy was friendly, well liked, kind and larger than life. Once you met him or saw him, you never forgot him. He loved animals and had many rescued pets over the years. He leaves behind his black and white cat Bob Cat.

Billy is survived by his parents Carl and Jennie (Hall) Eisler of Owings, MD, his sister Rachel (Eisler) Boyd and her husband Brian of Deale, MD, niece Melanie (Boyd) Teske and her husband Luke, and two great nephews, Stephen and Owen Teske of Odenton, MD, niece Bethany Boyd of Deale, MD, nephew Nicholas Boyd of Lusby, MD and his lifelong companion Rashida Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give a donation in his name to the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter in Calvert County, MD.

Privates services will be held at a later date.
